After a long winter, it’s time to liberate your Harley from hibernation and enjoy a weekend of motorcycle fun! Street Vibrations Spring Rally condenses the excitement of the successful Street Vibrations Fall Rally into a weekend at Sparks Victorian Square.

The 5^th annual event features live entertainment, bike games, competition ride-in shows, poker runs and walks, more than 80 vendor booths, VIP motorcycle participant parties and the Livfast Aerial Stunt Show.   Virginia City will host a poker walk, live entertainment, VIP bike parking and more. Chester’s Reno Harley-Davidson will host open houses and special promotions.

Street Vibrations Spring is free to the public. Motorcycle participants pay a fee. Vendors, bike games, bike competitions, and more are scheduled to either: start, end or take place entirely on Victorian Square in Sparks Victorian Square.

Great entertainment is planned, including:  Eddie Money, Audioboxx, Easy Rider and Skynnyn Lynnyrd the “Reloaded” Lynyrd Skynyrd.

The Reno Marine Corps League, Wal-Mart stores and News Talk 780 KOH are partnering for a program to provide new boot socks to Marine Corps units deployed to Afghanistan.

Saturday, May 21 ( Armed Forces Day ) the Reno Marine Corps League, with the assistance of Active Duty Marines from the Reno/Sparks community, will be accepting new, packaged boot socks at the Kietzke Lane Wal-Mart from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

The goal is to provide 2400 pairs of boot socks, in black or brown colors, to active duty Marine Corps infantry units deployed to Afghanistan.  No white socks will be accepted.

Look for the Marine Corps League tent and the KOH Radio display outside the Kietzke Lane Wal-Mart.

The Pyramid Lake Paiute Tribe would like to invite the public and their
families to come “Get Hooked For Free” at Free Fishing Day at Pyramid Lake. To kick off the
upcoming summer season, fishing throughout all of the public areas of Pyramid Lake will be
FREE to the public on Saturday May 14, 2011.

The public is invited to come out and fish the waters of Pyramid Lake without having to buy a
Tribal Fishing permit on this day. Free Fishing Day at Pyramid Lake is designed to educate the
public about the fish and the unique ecosystem of the lake. The Tribe would like to remind the
public that even though Tribal Fishing Permits will not be required for this day, that all other
permits and Tribal regulations will be in effect. These permits are included to but are not
limited to day use and overnight camping permits.
