One of the nice things about living in the Reno/Sparks area, is it is just a short drive to find a place that has the Pay Per View Boxing Match on most of the TVs through out the Casino.  My wife being one of the many Filipinos who absolutely adore Manny Pacquiao wasn’t going to miss the fight between Pacquia and Clottey.  Being Saturday night I like to take a break from real estate and spend sometime  with my better half.  I took her to the Atlantis Hotel and Casino and we watch the fight on the big screen, in their sports book.   The fight lasted 12 rounds and Pacquiao won every round.  Clottey was defensive and never really made much of an effort to win.

Thursday game was great we continued our winning streak to 4 games. The highlight was one of the player that hasn’t had a goal all year scored twice. That makes 6 of the 7 players have now scored a goal this season.

We lost Saturdays game and once again coaches error came into play. One of our players was running a tempature and missed Thursday’s game was back and ready to play. This is also the player who has not scored a goal yet and I left him forward a little to long. So being a person always trying to improve my coaching abilities lesson learned. We have 3 game left before the tournament begins and hopefully coaches errors wont be an issue.

Wow still rolling, thanks to a last second goal that propelled us to a 3-2 win, making our record 3-2 on the season. Another player scored his first goal of the season. That makes 5 of the 7 player have scored at least one goal.

What a game, the kids are doing wonderful things.  Saturday’s game a couple of the defensive players(players who asked to play defense) impressed me on offense, one of the goalies was throwing the ball out of the goal with incredible accuracy.  Unfortantly due to a couple of 4th qaurter goals we lost 3-1. All seven players had to play the whole game and a few of them got tired in the fourth quarter. Two more players did get a shot on goal, that is 6 of the 8 this season. Three different players have scored.

A wise man once said “the tough part of coach is your on the sidelines.”  However, it is fun to watch the six players on the field all chase the ball at the same time.(We will have to work on that).  We lost the game 5 to 3, but some really good things happened.  Four of the eight player got a shot on goal, and one of them is a first year player.  4 down and 4 to go to make my goal of getting every player a shot at the goal.   The stratagy of pulling the defense on corner kicks worked great as we scored on our only corner kick of the game.  Tonight practice will focus on some one on one defensive drills and goalie drills.
